The Team
We are seeking an Accounting Systems Administrator to join American Tower’s corporate accounting team. The team manages the company’s financial records, ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and prepares financial statements. Day to day you will primarily maintain and manage accounting information systems (reconciliation and controls) used to support accounting and compliance functions. As an Accounting Systems Administrator you will partner cross-functionally with global team members and departments to ensure accounting information systems work as intended and allow for the timely completion of deliverables.
What You Can Offer Us
- Ensure accounting information systems end users are correctly assigned based on roles and responsibilities. Regularly review and update assignments to reflect organizational changes, ensuring accurate access and permissions.
- Manage the creation, maintenance, and updating of account code mappings within the accounting information system.
- Interact with accounting system users from various departments while monitoring accounting tools to ensure issues and/or requests are resolved timely and tools work as intended.
- Actively participate in developing and delivering training sessions and/or reference materials to assist end users with adopting and using accounting tools. Provide hands-on support to ensure users are proficient in system functionalities and gather feedback to continuously improve training and address user needs effectively.
- Identify and assist with deploying system enhancements. Work with team members to identify solutions and then test and implement enhancements.
- Manage global communications about system updates and share, through workshops, newsletters, trainings, etc., best practices globally.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- 2 Year / Associate Degree.
- One to two years of work experience preferred.
- Ability to review and analyze information with great attention to detail and high standards of quality and consistency.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions, while maintaining organized systems and processes.
- Comfortable learning and leveraging various accounting programs and tools (e.g., developing Excel skills in order to manipulate large amounts of data using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, schedule, and execute tasks in a timely manner.
- Skilled at maintaining accurate and detailed records, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees in a global organization to effectively and professionally achieve results.
