The Team
We are seeking a Pricing Analyst to join American Tower’s Product & Strategy team. The team partners with internal stakeholders to provide pricing recommendations driven by analytics.
Day to day you will develop and deliver pricing for venue-based, tower, and rooftop wireless solutions. As a Pricing Analyst, you will determine the appropriate target price based on scheduled pricing and market-based factors, then communicate price quotes, pricing breakdowns, competitive analyses, and other pricing-related information to Sales and other functional groups. You will use dashboards and reports and serve as a liaison between Pricing and Sales.
What You Can Offer Us
- Work with Sales to gather customers' technical requests for collocation.
- Interface with Legal, Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure contracts are accurate and comply with each team's requirements.
- Review customer applications to ensure they meet technical requirements and are complete and accurate.
- Use financial modeling tools to develop pricing and provide target price positions to support customer negotiations.
- Manage front-end workflow milestones, ensuring cross-functional resources meet their task deadlines in accordance with SLAs to drive projects to contract execution.
- Populate customer proposal templates with project-specific data and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales to address customer pricing concerns and overcome objections by leveraging customer/segment reporting and competitive information; provide alternative configuration suggestions as needed.
- Compile and maintain project documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Conduct ad hoc reporting to identify pricing and volume trends.
- Interact with Sales and Finance teams to set strategy to secure contract renewals.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience in an analytical role required.
- Wireless industry experience preferred.
- Two years' previous related work experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills, including an ability to assess key project requirements, organize and communicate a plan, and drive results.
- Keen attention to detail; ability to notice nuanced differences between documents that often may appear identical at first glance.
- Capable of learning new systems/tools, customer markets, technologies, etc.
- Self-motivated; ability to work both independently to complete tasks and collaboratively with others to utilize their resources and knowledge.
- Exceptional organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within compressed timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in an oftentimes fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong follow-up skills: ability to track and adhere to timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills: ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Complex problem solving, analytical and modeling skills; ability to identify areas of profitability opportunities, the root cause of issues, propose potential solutions or improvements and influence ultimate decisions.
- Ability to work with and communicate with all organization levels; ability to present and explain pricing information to non-pricing professionals.
