Job Description:
Boston Conservatory at Berklee is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Director of Admissions to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative, mission-driven environment and is passionate about guiding future performing artists through the admissions journey.
As the primary recruiter for our Theater Division, the Assistant Director plays a key role in representing Berklee’s commitment to artistic excellence, access, and innovation. Working closely with faculty, staff, and prospective students, this role leads recruitment efforts, manages auditions, and oversees the application process—from initial inquiry through enrollment. In all recruitment efforts and campus services, the Assistant Director is expected to represent Berklee as an institution—upholding its core values and providing a high standard of service to all prospective students and their families.
What You’ll Do:
Lead national and on-campus recruitment for the Theater Division, including 6–8 weeks of travel each fall
Coordinate and execute audition events across the country and online
Plan major admissions events like Open Houses and accepted student programs
Serve as the main point of contact for Theater applicants, ensuring a high level of service and support
Manage application materials and data in platforms such as Salesforce, SlideRoom, and TargetX
Collaborate with faculty and admissions staff to register for fairs and conferences
Maintain and update admissions content on the Berklee website

Who You Are:
A strong communicator and organized problem-solver
Experienced in admissions, performing arts, or large-scale event planning (2–3 years preferred)
Comfortable traveling independently and working occasional evenings and weekends
Passionate about theater, education, and empowering emerging artists
Proficient in tools like Google Suite, Salesforce, SlideRoom, and social media platforms
Bachelor’s degree required—background in the performing arts preferred
