ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing our marketing technology stack and digital marketing channels (paid search, website (SEO), and email marketing) to enhance lead generation, elevate customer engagement, and increase brand awareness while improving our internal operational efficiencies.
This role requires a deep understanding of the marketing funnel and a passion for data-driven marketing, with expertise in using technology to optimize marketing results. In-depth knowledge of our Marketing Automation Platform (Account Engagement), Google suite (Search Console, Analytics, and Ads), and CRM (Salesforce) systems is a must.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
Building, scaling, and managing our marketing technology stack, including Salesforce, Account Engagement (formerly Pardot), and our internally built web platform, Chariot.
Overseeing and managing processes to enhance the operational efficiency of our website, email, digital campaigns, and CRM system.
Building, managing, and measuring email and digital campaigns and lead flow within mentioned platforms, while following industry best practices.
Assisting with digital marketing campaign strategy, development, execution, measurement, reporting, and optimization, which may require collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies, content developers, publications, and event producers.
Developing and executing lead-generating and brand-building marketing campaigns to drive demand, acquire new leads, increase engagement, and expand awareness of the Capital One Trade Credit B2B credit management solution.
In collaboration with BD, build and automate campaign reports and dashboards in Salesforce, expand our capabilities in attribution reporting, personalization and additional campaign best practices.
Develop and revise (as needed) lead scoring, grading, flow and management practices and procedures.
Employ a test-and-learn mentality and data-centered approach in the development of marketing campaign recommendations; openly share learnings and best practices across marketing teams.
Manage website CMS activities including page creation, layout, website maintenance, on-page SEO, and recommendations on user experience updates.
Act as an internal project manager for various initiatives across marketing campaign development/execution.
Establish and support scalable processes that ensure best practices in marketing campaign development/execution and lead management.
Work closely with Sr. Marketing Manager to own website updating, ensuring that messaging and content assets are current, regularly refreshed, site is easily navigable (following parameters laid out by Capital One Web Team) and that the website serves as a lead generating tool featuring frictionless lead capture forms, progressive profiling and seamless entry into our marketing/sales funnel.
Identify potential marketing and communications challenges or impediments to success and resolve or escalate.
Champion the brand, ensuring that all representations of our products (logo treatment, claims, imagery, etc) are in line with their respective brand personas, voice and style guidelines.
As needed, write and/or edit copy for emails, web pages, video/audio scripts, digital and print advertisements (supplementing our internal writer and third party agency writers).
Support the marketing planning and budget management processes.
Serves as the liaison to SF Engineering, collaborating on builds/changes to our system environment to support evolving BD/marketing needs.
Serves as the subject expert on all things email governance related - ensuring team compliance with all internal and external laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
At least 7 years of B2B marketing experience to include a combination of marketing operations, strategy, demand generation, brand management and digital marketing including web and social media channels
At least 5 years of experience using Google for building campaigns and tracking campaign performance
At least 5 years of Salesforce and Account Engagement (Pardot) experience, including validating and troubleshooting integrations, lead management, campaign attribution, and reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 7 years of B2B marketing experience in the Technology sector, across a broad range of marketing functions including marketing operations, strategy, demand generation, brand management, digital marketing (including web and social media marketing), direct marketing, etc.
Proven track record of building new campaigns and workflows, and processing leads.
Experience with digital marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and proficiency in data analysis to drive actionable insights.
Experience with SEO, email marketing, inbound/content marketing, website management, and digital advertising principles.
Experience developing ABM campaigns and working with ABM tools is a plus.
Experience supporting/enabling Sales Teams.
Track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity.
Detailed-oriented with strong prioritization and time management skills; can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, MarketingCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
