Category Manager
A Category Manager is responsible for optimizing the performance of a specific product category, focusing on strategies like merchandising, pricing, and vendor relationships to meet customer demands and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement strategies for their assigned product category, including merchandising plans, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Data Analysis & Market Research:
Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Vendor Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
- Merchandising & Pricing:
Optimize product placement, shelf space, and pricing to maximize sales and profitability.
- Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels to ensure products are available to meet customer demand while minimizing waste and costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and store management, to align on goals and strategies.
- Problem Solving:
Identify and address issues related to product performance, vendor relationships, and inventory management.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on category performance.
- Innovation:
Research and implement new products, services, and strategies to improve category performance and meet evolving customer needs.
