Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control's Microwave Center of Excellence is seeking to hire a Staff Component Engineer who will have the opportunity to join a team of highly competent engineering professionals involved in the design, development, and support of Digital and RF/Microwave Products. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the electrical components in the modules meet the highest reliability requirements as well as the product life cycle requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Staff Component Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Researching component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles and component construction processes
- Generation of Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings and Altered Item Drawings.
- Lead component part standardization, part selection
- Process change notices in PTC windchill for Part Bill of Materials & maintaining the engineering BOM in accordance with LM processes.
- Develop component qualification test plans and execute part qualifications with Test houses.
- Develop component screenings for parts as directed by Parts Management Process plan.
- Interface with customers to present part changes and impact to hardware.
- Lead Component Failure Investigations as needed.
- Participate in qualifying alternate test houses for part finish mitigations & part qualification.
- Research and determine impact of PCN's and obsolescence on the programs.
It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS).

Candidates filling this position will need a US citizen and will need a clearance at the level specified in "Clearance Level" or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified. Basic Qualifications:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or related field.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
3. The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance and must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills:
1. Experience with PTC windchill application for BOM maintenance
2. Experience with RF Component Selection
3. Experience with Part qualification & Failure analysis
4. Demonstrated knowledge of military standards & automotive electronics standards.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
