Director, Advanced Analytics & Insights

Boston, MA
Full-Time

Job Description

Join us as we transform immunology and deliver medicines that help autoimmune patients get their lives back. argenx is preparing for multi-dimensional expansion to reach more patients through a rich pipeline of differentiated assets, led by VYVGART, our first-in-class neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for the treatment of gMG, and with the potential to treat patients across dozens of severe autoimmune diseases.

We are building a new kind of biotech company, one that maintains its roots as a science-based start-up and pushes our commitment to innovate across all corners of our business. We strive to inspire and grow our company, our partnerships, our science, and our people, because when we do, we deliver more for patients.

The Director of Advanced Analytics & Insights is a high-impact, hands-on role designed for a strategic thinker who thrives on turning data into direction. As a sole contributor, you’ll split your time between shaping the analytics roadmap (60%) working on strategy with stakeholders and rolling up your sleeves to build, model, and code (40%). You’ll be the connective tissue between data and decision-making—partnering with Indication Strategy Teams (IST) to unlock insights that fuel smarter, faster, and more effective business moves.

This isn’t just about dashboards—it’s about driving innovation, influencing strategy, and architecting solutions that matter. You’ll collaborate across functions, manage key stakeholder relationships, and champion a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with US Indication Strategy Teams (IST) to co-create and execute analytics strategies that support CIDP, MG, and pipeline products.

  • Dual Impact Role: Provide thought leadership while performing hands-on analytics—bridging strategic vision with technical execution.

  • Insight Generation: Translate complex business questions into analytical frameworks. Align insights from commercial analytics and field teams to drive data-informed decisions.

  • Analytics Leadership: Own the full spectrum of analytics—predictive modeling, segmentation, promotional effectiveness, resource optimization, and pull-through analytics.

  • Innovation Engine: Apply cutting-edge techniques in AI, ML, and advanced modeling to elevate decision-making and uncover new growth opportunities.

  • Tech Optimization: Maximize existing tools while scouting and implementing new technologies that push the boundaries of traditional analytics.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Executor: Proven ability to lead initiatives from concept to code—balancing high-level strategy with hands-on delivery.

  • Pharma Fluency: Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, with a knack for interpreting complex datasets to inform business decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: Skilled at navigating matrixed organizations and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals.

  • Advanced Analytics Expertise: Proficient in statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI—especially with patient-level data.

  • Vendor Management: Experience managing external partners and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

  • Tools of the Trade: Fluent in SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, and other analytics/visualization platforms.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA or BS, Advanced Degree Preferred

    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a strong focus on data analytics, and insights

    • 5+ years of domain expertise in these areas are highly desired: data analytics, or other related strategic analytics and management consulting

    • Extensive experience and deep understanding of various pharmaceutical data facets and processes, including data creation, acquisition, management, governance, quality, integration, visualization and statistical modelling

    • Hands-on expertise and proficiency with analytical and visualization tools (SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI etc.)

    • Strong analytical background, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform complex and dynamic data sets into actionable insights that align with business priorities and drive impactful results

This role is ideal for someone who’s equal parts strategist and builder—someone who sees the story in the data and knows how to tell it with clarity, precision, and impact.

At argenx, all applicants are welcomed in an inclusive environment. They will receive equal consideration for employment without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other applicable legally protected characteristics. argenx is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
