Full Job Description

Boston University's Technology Development Office is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director, Entrepreneurship Programs and Networking to support our community of faculty entrepreneurs. Focused on supporting and advancing innovation, the Director will educate and enable members of the Boston University research community to commercialize discoveries for societal impact. Reporting to the Executive Director, Faculty Entrepreneurship, the Director is responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of programming designed to educate faculty members about the steps to launching and operating a company. Responsibilities include building and managing a comprehensive network of advisors to support faculty founders across all stages of the entrepreneurial journey and facilitating the connection of BU startups to external resources such as service providers, incubators, accelerators and conferences. In addition, the Director will work with the Executive Director to manage a gap funding program. The Director will use a variety of communication channels to publicize achievements of the growing BU entrepreneurship community. The Director ideally will have direct experience as a founder, early employee, or investor in a start-up and is ready to bring that experience to the BU entrepreneurial community.

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years work experience required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Direct experience as a founder or early employee of a start-up or investor in start-ups preferred.
