Seeking a highly motivated Director, Insights & Analytics - Cross Brand Lead to join the Biogen NA Business Insights & Operations (BIO) team. This pivotal position will report into the BIO Head of the Portfolio Strategy, Operations and Innovation, underscoring its strategic importance. The role will be at the center of establishing and executing processes and ways of working to amplify and integrate insights across all Brands, Field, and Digital (and ultimately expand to integrate insights from Patient Services (PS), MA&R, etc.) within Biogen North America.
The initial focus of the role will be a unique opportunity to shape, implement and manage the Alzheimer's cross-functional team. This brand, being the highest priority for Biogen North America, will provide a great foundation to establish processes that can then be scaled and executed across the other brand teams in the future. The Director, Insights & Analytics - Cross Brand Lead focuses on driving brand performance by leveraging smart analytics and cross-functional insights across Field, Brand, Customer, Patient Services and partnering in the future with MA&R and Medical to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of pharmaceutical operations across brand, field and patient services, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of stakeholders including CEO and executive leadership teams.
The Cross Brand team (comprised of Insights, Analytics, Marketing, Field, appropriate BIO functional leads, Patient Services, etc.) is responsible for partnering with the Business to digest insights & analytics provided by the I&A teams and determining the most crucial signals that should actioned with a tactical plan and continuous tracking/feedback. The team, a collaborative effort of marketing, sales, and insight team members, works together to develop a collective response to market signals. The Cross Brand team interfaces with customer-facing and business support roles, engaging with Field to pressure test insights and execute tactical decisions in the field with customers. They also engage with the analytics team to pull insights and signals from the market and work with the brand legal and compliance to align on an execution plan, risks, and other business support roles as needed.
The ideal candidate for this role is organized, accountable, agile, strategic, and detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, has a strong understanding of pharmaceutical operations and its data, and can communicate effectively across multiple levels of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
As the Director, Insights & Analytics - Cross Brand Lead, you will be accountable for defining and operationalizing the control tower remit. This involves defining business-critical questions grounded in strategic priorities and building an engine based on success factors. You will also be responsible for ongoing coordination with internal and customer-facing stakeholders to identify market shifts and implement appropriate actions to mitigate adverse events and support Therapeutic Area (TA) strategic goals. While each functional and business leader will be accountable for their scope (Field Team with Field Excellence Lead, I&A Teams with I&A Lead, Marketing with Brand Lead, etc.), the Control Tower Lead will structure and manage the Insights to Action process with an emphasis on structuring the insights gathering and dissemination processes/forums and thorough tracking of the implications, actions, and next steps to an ensure ongoing feedback loop and creating the right processes (via technology, meetings, or forums).
Cross Brand Process & Continuous Improvement
* Define, design, and implement processes that enable a systemic way to gather, structure and disseminate key insights & information
* In an agile manner, regularly assess the performance of processes and adjust as necessary to meet the needs of the business and control tower.
Collaboration:
* Be the bridge to the brand team by connecting key functional support areas and bringing actionable tactics and solutions to the brand to support brand strategies and goals.
* Leveraging agile best practices, implement & facilitate a collaboration forum to bring together cross-functional expertise in an agile manner, applying iterative ways of working for the Control Tower and acting decisively and autonomously to achieve aligned KPIs, fostering a culture of trust and empowerment.
* Coordinate dynamically between customer-facing and internal business support teams.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, insights) to ensure alignment on analytics initiatives and strategic goals.
* Provide & Facilitate a centralized, dynamic, and forward-looking forum to discuss TA strategy and support rapid decision-making.
Insights to Action Process and Integration
* Systemically integrate market responses, insights, and other key information gathered from various functional groups to provide valuable insights into industry trends, customer behavior, and emerging opportunities, guiding strategic decisions, actions and performance monitoring.
* Recommend Dynamic re-deployment of resources as needed based on continued learning and monitoring of Brand and Control Tower performance for various teams to action (Field, Digital etc.) and building ongoing accountability to monitor and continuously improve
* Partner with the analytics team and external workbench to interpret data effectively into a story and insights to action log that is continuously tracked and actioned
* Prepare and present findings to stakeholders at various levels, translating derived insights into actionable business strategies.
* Monitor performance and captures insights by tracking business outcomes and activities occurring in the field.
Project Management
* Schedule and facilitate meetings on a regular cadence prior to NA critical meetings ensure alignment on key discussion topics and a current view of Insights to Action
* Schedule and facilitate additional meetings as needed, responding dynamically to waves of shifting market dynamics (e.g., if a new competitor enters the market).
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Business, Life Sciences). A master's degree is a plus.
Required Experience:
10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, insights, analytics or a similar role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in project management tools, ability to define requirements or ways to use existing platforms (like Veeva) better for structuring insights
Analytical Mindset:
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders and drive effective storytelling
Senior level Program Leadership:
Ability to manage multiple high priority and fast-paced projects and deadlines effectively in a quickly evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with regulatory and compliance considerations in the pharmaceutical industry.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
