The EDI Specialist will be responsible for all aspect associated with the building, testing and deploying EDI file feeds between the client’s HRIS system and internal administrative system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the processing of all new hires, life events, terminations and open enrollments submitted through both EDI files and manual spreadsheet templates
- Ensure requests adhere to all regulatory, carrier and client guidelines
- Convert manual files to EDI format to be loaded into administrative systems
- Load EDI and manual files to meeting daily deadlines,
- Research and report file errors
- Ability to build plans for annual renewals
- Respond to any employee benefit/claim inquiries in a timely manner
- Understand and execute the process for building, testing and deploying EDI file feeds between the client’s HRIS system and our administrative system, to include: plan rule setup, extracting employee data, troubleshooting eligibility during the testing phase and regular upkeep of files once the feeds are active (troubleshooting discrepancies)
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Thorough knowledge in the administration of the following benefit programs: flexible spending accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, commuter benefits and Health Savings Account
- Versed in ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to resolving problems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Prefer an Associate's Degree in a related discipline
- 1-3 years of related experience

The base salary range for this position is $42,000 – $55,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
