Overview:
The Financial Analyst (FP&A) role is a key position responsible for managing and analyzing product costing across the business globally. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of FP&A, this position requires a keen eye for detail and a collaborative approach to deliver accurate and actionable cost analytics in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Exciting Responsibilities You'll Own:
- Serve as a key member of the Global Product FP&A team.
- Take full ownership of product costing, partnering with local and global teams to ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting.
- Perform detailed month-end variance analysis, including purchase price variances and inventory analysis.
- Support cost forecasting and track cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain and update landed cost assumptions, starting from product cost and layering in warehousing, amortization, overhead, royalties, freight, duties, and other relevant cost elements.
- Analyze key product cost drivers, including material changes, FX fluctuations, engineering enhancements, and supplier negotiations, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Conduct FX impact analyses and sensitivity assessments to inform risk management.
- Actively drive process improvements and system enhancements in product costing, developing standardized reporting templates and automation to support rapid growth and complex environments.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as needed.
Attributes & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably with a focus on product costing or financial analysis.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets, translating them into actionable insights.
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally.
- Experience with DOMO is a plus
