Full Job Description

The Raices Latinas Program at Boston University School of Theology (BU STH) seeks a grant administrator to provide administrative and program management for two projects that will support and investigate immigrant families in Christian churches. This is a five-year position with an expected start on January 2, 2025. The grant administrator will work closely with a researcher and will respond directly to a faculty person who will be the grant general consultant (PI). The grant administrator will also work closely with congregations and graduate students involved in the project. Candidates are expected to have competency in Spanish and demonstrated experience in working with Christian churches. The position is for 30 hours/week.

Administration: Oversee the overall management and administration of the program including: 

  1. Planning and coordination of the meetings for the leadership Team of the programs.
  2. Manage the budget and keep track of expense reports in coordination with grant general consultant and the finance director of BUSTH.
  3. Manage the preparation of grant reports, evaluation processes, and adjustments to program components.
  4. Maintain organized records for the programs.
  5. Prepare and submit grant reports for grant programs.
  6. Coordinating of travel and on-site meeting events
  7. Develop communications materials to promote the work of the project
  8. Search for grant opportunities and coordinate submission.

Program: Oversee the overall management of the program components including:

  1. Coordinate student facilitators for the listening circles.
  2. Coordinate the scheduling of resource persons for the listening circles.
  3. Review the overall implementation of the program components with the grant general consultant and leadership team for the grants.
  4. Collaborate with the post doc researcher and the grant general consultant in the administrative tasks of the grants.

Networking:

  1. Represent this program at events and conferences upon request.
  2. Provide information and updates of program implementation for partners (churches, other organizations, institutions of higher education)

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 - 4 years of experience.  
  • Master of Divinity or similar field preferred.
  • Administrative/program coordination experience.
  • Experience in coordinating ecclesial groups in multidenominational settings.
