We are seeking a Lead Analyst - Business Finance to join American Tower’s Finance team and support global operations financial planning. The Finance team partners with internal stakeholders to provide actionable analyses and recommendations to the global Operations team, driven by detailed analytics. Day to day you will focus on financial modeling, planning, reporting, and analysis. As a Lead Analyst you will serve as a finance business partner to global Operations leaders and their respective teams with a focus on the forecasting, planning, analysis, and modeling of growth and maintenance capital, SG&A, direct expenses, and overall operational impacts to key company financial metrics.
- Serve as a business partner by providing thoughtful financial and operational analyses and predictive modeling to help operational and other senior leaders make informed decisions regarding capital allocation and the direction of the business.
- Prepare long-range strategic plans, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts
- Build monthly and quarterly reporting packages and variance analyses of actuals against plans and forecasts.
- Develop global key performance indicators to measure financial performance and cost savings and develop appropriate reports and/or dashboards to provide visibility into trends and key drivers.
- Develop ad hoc analyses to uncover trends and assess business risks and/or opportunities in order to provide recommendations.
- Communicate to Operations and Finance executives and other internal stakeholders outcomes of analyses and research to ensure successful end-to-end understanding of financials, strategies, processes, and plans.
- As a Lead Analyst you may be responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of Analysts and Senior Analysts. You’ll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.

What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related major is required.
- Masters degree and/or CPA/ CFA certification is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, such as reporting, planning, advanced analytics, and complex predictive modeling, required.
- Proficiency with multi-dimensional reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Essbase/Adaptive Planning/Anaplan, Tableau/PowerBI/OAS) is required.
- Business partnership experience strongly preferred.
- Telecommunications, real estate, and/or broadcast media experience is a plus.
- Ability to anticipate barriers/opportunities and think out of the box to enable solutions.
- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally to achieve results.
