Full Job Description

We’re defining what it means to build and deliver the most extraordinary sports and entertainment experiences. Our global team is trailblazing new markets, developing cutting-edge products, and shaping the future of responsible gaming.

Here, “impossible” isn’t part of our vocabulary. You’ll face some of the toughest but most rewarding challenges of your career. They’re worth it. Channeling your inner grit will accelerate your growth, help us win as a team, and create unforgettable moments for our customers.

The Crown Is Yours

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to lead a backend-focused engineering team within our Account Platform team, that powers some of our most critical player protection and verification systems. You will drive the design, development, and evolution of distributed APIs and backend services that underpin our compliance and customer trust capabilities. You will own technical direction, lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build robust, scalable backend systems and APIs, primarily in C# using .NET Core and ideally ServiceStack.

  • Own technical direction, system design, and architectural decisions for a backend team focused on highly available, secure, and performant services.

  • Stay hands-on in the codebase—writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across services and infrastructure.

  • Lead development efforts for services that integrate with internal platforms and third-party verification vendors.

  • Advocate for engineering best practices including test automation, observability, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

  • Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to define and deliver on team objectives.

  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI tools or machine learning to enhance platform intelligence or efficiency.

  • Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and foster a high-performance team culture.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of backend-focused software engineering experience, including leading technical teams or projects.

  • Expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem, especially .NET Core.

  • Experience building production APIs with frameworks such as ServiceStack, ASP.NET Web API, or similar.

  • Strong background in building distributed systems with secure, high-performance, and resilient architectures.

  • Deep knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.

  • Solid understanding of AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, ECS). Cloud certifications are a strong plus.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or tooling (e.g., OpenAI, AWS SageMaker) is a plus.

  • Passion for shipping high-quality software fast, working in agile teams, and solving real-world business problems through code.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • AWS certifications preferred
