About the Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in insurance and financial services, is seeking a Lead UX Developer to join their Enterprise UX team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a seasoned front-end engineer who thrives at the intersection of design and development.
As a key player in a modern UX practice, you'll drive innovation, mentor peers, and shape the future of digital experiences across a portfolio of enterprise products. What You'll Do
- Bridge Design & Development: Translate UX vision into clean, accessible, production-ready code using React and modern front-end technologies.
- Lead & Mentor: Guide a team of UX engineers and designers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Innovate with AI & Automation: Explore and implement emerging technologies to streamline design-to-dev handoff and improve team workflows.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to align on vision, strategy, and execution.
- Champion User-Centered Design: Participate in user research and usability testing to ensure solutions are intuitive, inclusive, and impactful.
- Contribute to Design Systems: Help evolve and scale the company's design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across products.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of front-end development experience, with deep expertise in React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and Node.js
- Strong understanding of design principles, information architecture, and accessibility standards
- Proven experience contributing to and evolving enterprise design systems
- Track record of mentoring teams and elevating engineering practices
- Familiarity with Agile, Lean UX, Design Thinking, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience evaluating and integrating AI tools into development workflows is a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HCI, UX, or related field preferred
