About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Overland Advantage Product Specialist (Principal Strategic Investment Specialist) who will cultivate strong internal and external relationships to deliver access to private credit and other long-term capital solutions, for middle-market clients and prospects of the bank. The individual in this position will develop innovative financing strategies to support clients’ growth, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic capital initiatives
In this role, you will:
- Source and evaluate new direct lending investment opportunities
- Provide value added advice and enhance strategic dialogue with key clients and top prospects of the bank
- Lead and participate in the due diligence process, including management presentations and company meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries and industry contacts to generate deal flow
- Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise that significantly influence the organization's business and financial objectives
- Strategically lead all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise; serve as an expert advisor to Commercial Banking leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Strategic Investment Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Capital markets and private capital experience
- 10+ years work experience in one or a combination of: commercial banking, corporate banking, private equity, investment banking, direct lending or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with evaluating and executing private credit and/or lending transactions related to private equity buy-outs, strategic M&A, or other credit related products including senior secured loans, unitranche and second lien/mezzanine
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong integrity, work ethic, and a team player. High level of initiative and accountability
- Ability to work independently or in teams and thrive in a fast paced, loosely-structured, entrepreneurial environment
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel to different client markets on a regular basis

- This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$276,400.00 - $645,000.00Benefits
