The Crown Is Yours

As a Paralegal, you’ll provide best-in-class support to our Commercial Transactions Legal group. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll work cross-functionally to support domestic and global transactions, enhance efficiency, maintain documentation, contribute legal input, and help develop a comprehensive knowledge management system. You’ll work closely with our Vice President & Associate General Counsel and other attorneys, bringing strong core skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to DraftKings’ growth and success.

What you’ll do as a Paralegal, Commercial Transactions

  • Support DraftKings’ commercial transactions, including assisting with the drafting and negotiation of agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, promotion terms, and contest rules.

  • Assist with our insurance function, including preparing coverage applications and related schedules or supplements.

  • Facilitate and oversee the agreement execution process.

  • Act as an operations specialist to help keep the Commercial Transactions team organized and running efficiently.

  • Design and implement knowledge management systems to ensure legal standards are easily accessible and up to date for stakeholders.

  • Maintain an accurate database of approved agreement templates, clauses, and intake questionnaires, ensuring version control and audit trails.

  • Organize and store executed commercial agreements for easy retrieval.

  • Support additional projects and tasks, as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of relevant transactional paralegal experience; in-house public company experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrated business- and solutions-oriented approach to resolving issues, with sound judgment and keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, developing positive relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Highly organized self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment with shifting priorities.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines, navigating ambiguity and conflicting priorities with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Positive, adaptable attitude and a passion for supporting growing industries.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with DocuSign and LinkSquares (or similar CLM systems) is a plus.
