This position can be located in Waltham, MA - Hybrid
Job Purpose
We're hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead a critical product team within AMI. This is a high-impact role for an experienced product leader who can drive strategy, execution, and delivery in a complex enterprise environment-while also elevating the product discipline across the broader organization.
You'll work across software engineering, process design, and business teams to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions to integrate AMI with National Grid's customer platform. You may also play a key role in mentoring other product managers and embedding product and agile best practices across the AMI program.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap delivery for a large product team within the AMI program.
- Translate operational challenges into digital solutions that impact safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate across multiple other product teams and work with engineering, process design, and business stakeholders to scope, test, and launch innovative features.
- Help build a culture of product excellence across one of the most ambitious technology programs at National Grid and in the utility industry at large.
- Own product KPIs, epics, features, user stories, release plans, and business cases.
- Communicate progress and impact to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience and proven success leading complex, multi-squad product teams.
- Deep expertise in agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Fluency in and demonstrated experience leveraging AI to improve and accelerate product delivery.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
- Driven by data, self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving.
- Experience navigating matrixed organizations and driving alignment and prioritization across diverse stakeholders.
- Bonus: Prior experience coaching teams in agile, SAFe, and product best practices; experience with utility customer operations and systems.

Salary
$162,000 - $191,000 a year
Salary commensurate with location and experience
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
