Position: Product Owner

Location: 100% remote

Estimated Duration: The client approximates that this project is a 12+ month contract. However, there is no guarantee of employment for any length of time.

Pay Rate Range: $58-$68/hr. (paid weekly on W2)

Project Description: Our client is seeking a Product Owner to support a long-term initiative within the health insurance industry. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, collaborative professional with experience in the payer space, particularly with claims systems, external vendors, and cross-functional internal teams.

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

• Serve as Product Owner on a major project launching 7/1/2026, involving claims and drug review, copay assistance, and NASCO development.
• Collaborate with product teams, enterprise technology, and business stakeholders.
• Support additional smaller projects as needed.
• Communicate effectively across multiple levels and departments, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

• Product Owner experience in the health insurance / payer industry (BCBS preferred)
• Familiarity with claims systems and claims processing
• Experience working with external vendors and internal business units
• Strong proficiency with Jira
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Preferred:

• Experience with NASCO systems (not required but a plus)
