About the Team

The Rapid Additive Manufacturing Lab plays a crucial role in driving footwear innovation atone of the worlds most popular show companies. We are a dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of 3D printing technology to create prototypes, explore new materials, and develop cutting-edge manufacturing processes for high-performance footwear.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Rapid Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the lab’s daily operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with engineers and designers to bring innovative footwear concepts to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Post-Processing Expertise:
    • Master post-processing techniques for various 3D printing technologies (SLS, SDM, FDM, Objet).
    • Execute daily post-processing operations, including part breakout, cleaning, and finishing.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve post-processing challenges to ensure high-quality output.
  • Equipment Management:
    • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on 3D printing equipment.
    • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or performance issues.
    • Partner with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment uptime.
  • Production Support:
    • Assist in the production of footwear prototypes and samples, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize print parameters and achieve desired results.
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities and inventory levels.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety within the lab.
    • Stay abreast of emerging 3D printing technologies and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Additive Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in 3D printing or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating various 3D printing technologies (SLS, SDM, FDM, Objet).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $23-26 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location
