PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, DOCTORING 1
Course Summary: The Doctoring 1 course is an innovative, integrative curriculum incorporating communication, physical exam, clinical reasoning and professional identity formation for 1st year medical students. The course utilizes lectures, longitudinal small groups, online learning modules, clinical learning with 4th year medical students, and longitudinal clinical placements.
The Program Administrator will have general oversight of the course by scheduling complicated student/faculty sessions, handling room requests and logistics, updating Blackboard Ultra, coordinating end of module assessments and working with the Doctoring 2 and Doctoring 3 Program Administrators for cross training and coverage purposes. The Program Administrator is the first point of contact for students. This general oversight work will also include proposing and administering quality improvement initiatives in course administration and information delivery.
Doctoring 1 Scheduling & Meetings:
- Complex scheduling of various student, faculty and standardized patient sessions and assessments.
- Perform team role by meeting weekly with Doctoring 2 and Doctoring 3 Administrators to coordinate needs and staffing for upcoming doctoring sessions.
- Meet with Doctoring and Clinical Reasoning course leadership on a regular basis.
- Manage room requests and assignments for Doctoring 1
Doctoring Year 1 duties:
- Organize online and in person logistical requirements to ensure curriculum is delivered as expected.
- Collaborate with faculty to prepare communications and course materials.
- Field emails from students and faculty for timely response.
- Support 7-8 faculty/small group activities on a regular basis both in person and via Zoom.
- Manage end of module assessments.
- Assist Doctoring 2 Administrator as needed
- Assist Doctoring 3 Administrator with actor sessions & assessments
- Oversee 4th year electives and longitudinal preceptorship
- Engage in clinical skills activities by working with the Sim Center Technician and the Doctoring Team to set up Sim Center and classroom spaces, restock exam rooms, monitor and record timed events in person and via Zoom and by directing students and faculty.
- Ensure accurate documentation of student assessment and performance.
- Assign, track and follow up on evaluations using Medhub evaluation software.
- Provide administrative support to the Doctoring Year 1 course director.
- Assist with faculty development for the academy of master educator faculty
- Liaise with faculty and administrators of the Medical Education Office and participate in meetings to collaborate on curricular initiatives.
- Assist with the identification of program improvement initiatives.

- Elevate clinical assessment software
This is a hybrid position (must be on campus for in person classes)
