Assist BSU fine artist and professor obtain opportunities for exhibition and publication of artworks.Position Type
TemporaryEssential Duties
The assistant will research opportunities and conduct outreach to publishers and professional contacts by social media, email and by phone. The assistant will complete exhibition applications, send press kits to publishers by email and postal mail, and follow up by phone and email. The assistant will ghost write draft articles to accompany publication of artworks in accepted journals.Required Qualifications
Fluent in written and spoken English with clear and accurate pronunciation. Position requires research and excellent writing skills. Work habits must be organized and punctual. The candidate must be confident in talking with professional contacts over the phone to gather information and pitch publication or exhibition proposals. Candidate will have at least two years of undergraduate course work in a relevant major such as marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations. Degree completion is not required.Preferred Qualifications
Preference for candidate with work or internship experience in public relations, marketing, journalism, or communications and/or an undergraduate degree in one of those majors.Work Environment
