Job Description:
Apex Systems has partnered with a company who is a major player in the tech Industry who is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer in the North Reading area, or open to remote! Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: North Reading, MA- possibility for remote
Shift: core business hours for EST/EDT
Pay Rate: up to 50/hr
Summary:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position where the QAE will regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Automated Tests
- Create robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test scripts using Java and Appium to validate the functionality and performance of mobile applications.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in software testing and test automation
- Proficient in Java programming and Appium framework for mobile app testing
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in testing mobile apps on both Android and iOS
- Familiarity with AWS cloud-based testing platform.
- Exposure to performance and load testing
