Overview
Reporting to the Director of Mission Assurance for Mission Enabling Products, the Quality Engineering Manager will lead a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Control Technician in our Special Programs group. They are responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies, and procedures to ensure all delivered products are delivered to the customer on schedule, on cost, and fully compliant to all contractual requirements. The position is responsible for the review and approval of suppliers and subsequent interfacing with suppliers to resolve nonconformance. The position responsible for reviewing quality inspection processes, work with operations on schedule completions, assist with customer audits review bids and proposals and provide advice and support to Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership/mentorship for team members by promoting professional development, fostering a collaborative environment, and endorsing ethical conduct.
• Encourages team members to connect their efforts to overall company goals by creating an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences.
• Establishes strong business relationships with programs and cross-functional organizations.
• Provides exceptional team leadership and serves as the quality assurance focal point
• Engages team members to ensure suppliers correctly identify root cause and implement effective corrective action using appropriate RCCA tools.
• Actively monitors nonconformance and corrective actions to ensure timely dispositions and corrective action responses.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR 3+ years with a related experience with a master's degree
• 3+ years of experience leading or managing teams in a manufacturing environment
• Root cause and corrective action experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills
• Must have a proven track record of accomplishments with team development, or leadership
• Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality management systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
• US Citizenship is a bona fide requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with Government Agencies
• Material Review Board experience
• Active Top Secret Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $107,300.00 - $160,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
