Reporting to the Head of HR, North America, who also has responsibility for HRBP of the Chief Operations Officer, the Senior Director/HRBP will be an integral part of leading transformational change as argenx continues to grow and expand. They will drive business success through the implementation of a defined people strategy, and implementation of all global HR initiatives and projects. They will be partnering with the business for relevant global client groups including Development within the US, BIS/IT and Corporate Communications, while working within a multi-functional HR team and being a part of the broader global HR organization. This person will also partner closely with the Global Talent Team playing a critical role within the overall HR organization helping to build, deliver, and continuously improve all change management, organizational design and transformation initiatives across their relevant client groups and the broader North American region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Actively consult, facilitate and provide solutions to business leaders related to talent, change management, organizational design and transformation initiatives
Develop and implement general employee experience strategies, policies, processes, and programs across the business to “Build the Company We Want to Work For” and maximize team and individual potential
Partner with the business to identify, assess, select, reward, and develop talent
Bring relevant, impactful and innovative HR solutions to the business
Drive high quality levels in all HR operations, ensuring consistency and accuracy of processes, data, and systems
Advise on and influence the nature of HR programs, processes, policies, and service delivery based on the business environment / strategy
Advise and bring best practices to the design and implementation of workforce and talent initiatives in conjunction with global HR colleagues and ensure alignment and support of business strategy and goals
Identify business needs, diagnose issues, and help lead organizational change initiatives
Participate in global, multi-functional projects or task teams
Act as a resource to managers and employees on employee relations issues and provide coaching to leaders on management best practices
Partner to implement solutions in a timely manner and document the outcome
Education, Experience and Qualifications
10+ years of global HR business partner experience with an emphasis on org design and effectiveness, change management, and coaching and facilitating
Bachelor/Master’s degree in business or equivalent career experience
In-depth knowledge of all areas of HR: performance management, employee relations, talent management, organizational development, change management, leadership, coaching, facilitation and culture development
Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, including influencing and building trust; ability to provide direction to a broad range of managers and employees
Ability to iterate and innovate to find the best solution for argenx
Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and federal and state employment regulations
Resourceful, with prior experience designing, customizing, and implementing talent management processes and systems
Sense of urgency, ability to be successful in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment
Pragmatic and proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Experience in high growth, global biotech or related industry experience preferred
