We are seeking highly skill and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) Protect group of the Microsoft Security organization. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will collaborate with identity services leadership and engineering teams to deliver security risk reductions aligned to Microsoft’s Secure Future Initiative (SFI). You will lead delivery of modern authentication services through Azure Entra ID and work that sustains Entra Hybrid AuthN scenarios. You’ll bring administrative efficiency to IAM work planning, prioritization, and delivery, and ensure that voice-of-the-user feedback guides IAM experiences + optimizations.

Successful candidates can be located anywhere in the U.S.

  • Own with engineering-IAM leadership: a strategic services roadmap as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Define Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities to deliver CISO-org SFI objectives and key results.
  • Support IAM Protect leadership. engineering, and program management with Azure DevOps (ADO) work management, status reporting and visualization, defining (automated) performance indicators and tracking.
  • Work with CISO-org identity architects for work-intake governance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ years experience supporting Azure Entra ID or Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience using Azure Data Explorer / Kusto for data exploration and visualization/reporting.
  • Delivery of Microsoft identity service technologies (e.g., PKI; STS; AAD; AD; HAAD; ADFS, etc.).
  • Delivery of Azure-hosted security technologies (e.g., Microsoft Defender services).
  • Experience with Major Incident management and resolution tasks
  • Proven track record of delivering successful and scalable solutions.
  • Ability to solve problems by thinking creatively, critically, and strategically about identity and access management for Microsoft users, to define service and product features, architectures, and capabilities that reduce risk and advance security for Microsoft and Microsoft’s customers.
  • Proficient at written and verbal communication, being comfortable presenting and storytelling to any audience or customer, technical and non-technical.
  • Leader and collaborator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing requirements.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
