Job Description:
Berklee seeks a Senior Workday Process Improvement Lead (SWPIL) for an up to 3-year temporary full-time opportunity, supporting a multi-year initiative to implement Workday Student. The Senior Workday Process Improvement Lead (SWPIL) will partner with the Workday Student dynamic team to lead a variety of highly complex, high-risk, innovative projects that have critical touchpoints and impact scope of the institution's strategic initiative to implement a unified student information system. This role will be hands-on collaborating across the institution to support identified initiatives that have cross-functional impact and have critical touch points to the scope of the student project.The (SWPIL) will require strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies and the ability to apply these principles to create impactful business value for each identified initiative and requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of working collaboratively across various departments to implement effective process improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels. You must be able to clearly articulate complex concepts and present data-driven recommendations in a concise and compelling manner. Strong project management skills are essential, as you will be responsible for managing multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
Job Purpose:
The Process Improvement Lead will play a critical role evaluating and documenting current processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable strategies to streamline operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed process analyses, gathering and interpreting data, and presenting findings to senior project leads. You will also be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to implement process changes, ensuring alignment with student project goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct operational assessments
Document and analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
Facilitate work groups
Collaborates with executive champions, and process owners
Develop and implement process improvement strategies
Lead cross-functional teams to execute process improvement initiatives effectively
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented process changes, making adjustments as necessary
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Directing cross-functional teams to achieve initiative objectives
Support and coach team members to embrace change
Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior management
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in process improvement
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or related roles.
Minimum of 5 years of Higher-Ed experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools such as Visio, LucidChart, or similar software.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and maintain a proactive approach.
