The Corporate division encompasses the core operational support for all Land O'Lakes businesses. It includes Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, Land O'Lakes Foundation and Community Relations, Finance, Law, Member Relations, Facilities, Event Strategy, Security, Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Marketing and Government Relations.
Position Purpose:
In this generalist business attorney role, reporting to an Assistant General Counsel, you will provide day-to-day counsel and support to Land O'Lakes' animal nutrition business unit on a wide range of transactional commercial legal issues aimed to minimize risk and exposure to the company. Significant responsibility to draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including manufacturing, supply, sales, distribution (domestic and international), licensing and warehousing. In addition, you will advise clients and/or manage outside counsel on a wide range of legal issues including antitrust, data privacy, international law, regulatory and e-commerce.
Qualifications:
Experience-Education (Required):
- J.D. from accredited law school
- 5 or more years of law firm and/or in-house experience
- 5 or or more years of Experience negotiating commercial transactions; including drafting and negotiating contracts, advising clients on risk and recommendations, etc.
- Membership in at least one state bar; licensed or willingness to become licensed in Minnesota
Experience-Education (Preferred):
- Agriculture or CPG related degree and/or focus
- Experience advising on antitrust, manufacturing and/or international legal issues
Salary range: $120,880 - $181,320
