About This Role
The Senior Principal Epidemiologist supports other epidemiologists in the Research and Development organization in the design, implementation, and reporting of impactful real-world analyses that shape our understanding of therapies and diseases. Depending on the skill level of the incumbent, and under the supervision of a Director or Associate Director, Epidemiology, the Senior Principal Epidemiologist may lead epidemiology activities for one or more small, early development programs. The Senior Principal Epidemiologist has direct responsibility for completing more advanced real-world data analyses and interpreting and reporting on findings under the supervision of a Director or Associate Director, Epidemiology.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of more advanced observational studies; May write first drafts of research protocols, analysis plans, and reports
- Critically review epidemiologic literature and prepare more advanced systematic literature reviews and more complicated epidemiology packages
- Under the supervision of a Director, Epidemiology, lead epidemiology activities for one or more small, early developmental programs. Work directly with the data analysts for execution of database study protocols
- Assist in preparing scientific abstracts, posters, and manuscripts as needed
- With minimal review from an Associate Director or Director, produce contributions to PSURs, Pharmacovigilance activities, and Risk Management plans
- Depending on the request, this position may generate a report independently and communicate directly with stakeholders (i.e., SABR or Clinical MDs, NPC)

Qualifications
Required Skills
- Recent PhD in Epidemiology (preferred)
- OR Master's in Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology and minimum 4 years of post-graduate experience in a pharmaceutical industry setting
- Superb scientific writing, with a track record of publications
- Excellent organizational skills, and knows how to meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- For recent PhD graduates in Epidemiology, pharmaceutical industry experience (e.g., internships or contract work)
Additional Information
The base salary range for this position is $124,000 to $175,000 annually. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
