This position will be located in Palmdale, CA Center of Excellence where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
This position is based out of Palmdale, CA however the position may consider applicants who can work remotely with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of project management experience and/or experience in a production or operations environment, a Master's Degree with 6 years of project management experience and/or experience in a production or operations environment or a PhD with 4 years of project management experience and/or experience in a production or operations environment
• Proficiency in MS Project and MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate or similar
• Aerospace and/or Defense industry Experience
• Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing / Assembly line setting
Salary Range: $103,200.00 - $154,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
