- What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist with responsibility for supervising logisticians that plan, coordinate, and evaluate the logistical actions required to support disaster response, emergency management, response to climate change, and equitable program delivery. Typical assignments include: Leading employees in the writing, reviewing, and editing of complex logistics and contingency plans, policies, procedures, and doctrine. Developing plans to support Region 1 response efforts and to improve regional mission capabilities. Managing staff in the exercising and implementing of logistics contingency plans, policies, and procedures to effectively deliver anticipated and requested resources to support disaster operations. Writing, leading development teams for, reviewing, and analyzing draft and issued directives, instructions, regulations, and other policy documents. What else do I need to know?
