About the Role
Boston University is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Training Specialist to support the successful implementation and ongoing use of the My BU Student system and other key platforms such as OnBase and Salesforce. Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Specialist will play a vital role in assessing training needs, developing strategic training plans, and delivering engaging training programs for both technical and end-user audiences across the University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain engaging training materials for both technical staff and end users, including manuals, videos, job aids, and online modules.
- Support training needs related to My BU Student, OnBase, Salesforce, and other systems, ensuring materials are updated with system enhancements or upgrades.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager to develop and refine training plans, curricula, and delivery methods for diverse user groups.
- Deliver training sessions across multiple formats, ensuring consistent, effective instruction and tracking of training outcomes.
- Promote training opportunities through targeted communication and marketing to maximize awareness and participation.
- Assist with maintaining business process documentation and aligning it with training content.
- Manage and organize training resources on the ENSA training website and repository in coordination with the ENSA Website Manager.

About the Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of experience in training design, development, or delivery—ideally in higher education or IT systems training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver training content in a variety of formats.
- Experience with eLearning software preferred.
- Familiarity with student information systems (like PeopleSoft), document management platforms (e.g., OnBase), and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) a plus.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to translate complex processes into easy-to-understand training materials.
A master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to submit work samples upon request as a component of the interview process.
