We are seeking a Vice President, Data and Analytics to join American Tower’s IT organization. The Vice President is a critical leader, who oversees the data and analytics vertical, which includes data architecture governance, data productization and engagement, data science and advanced analytics, and data engineering and maintenance. This role drives the strategic direction of data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a data-centric culture across the organization. The Vice President collaborates with cross-functional teams to leverage data as strategic assets, enhancing operational efficiencies and supporting informed decision-making.

- Foster strong relationships with business units to understand data needs and ensure the effective utilization of data products and services.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for the adoption of innovative solutions, such as AI and machine learning, to enhance data capabilities and operational efficiencies.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of data professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning while ensuring that the team has the necessary skills to manage the functions under the data and analytics vertical.
- As a Vice President, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of your team. You’ll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.

What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of data management, analytics, or related experience, with a track record of leading data initiatives in the telecommunications or real estate industry required.
- Experience developing and executing data strategies that drive business outcomes required, particularly in managing assets and improving operational processes.
- Strong background in data strategy, data analytics, data governance, data quality management, and compliance required.
- Proficiency with data management tools and platforms (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce) required.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Oracle OAS, Power BI, Snowflake) and data visualization techniques required.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and methodologies including data governance, quality management, extract, transform, load processes, and data pipeline development.
- Understanding of advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels at all levels, particularly in a matrixed organization.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to foster collaboration and build relationships across diverse teams, ensuring alignment on initiatives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align data initiatives with strategic goals, particularly in enhancing customers’ experiences and operational efficiencies.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and a proactive approach to exploring new solutions that can drive value.
- Approximately 10% travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities.
