We're seeking a seasoned Web Experience Strategist to support a major website rebuild project for a global consulting firm. This is a short-term contract role (2-3 months) partnering to shape the strategic foundation of a global company's new flagship site, with a strong emphasis on digital architecture, content strategy planning and integration planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Web Leader and the external web agency to refine the strategic direction of the website rebuild
- Support Web Leader with complex digital architecture strategy, including taxonomy, tagging structures, etc
- Support the development of a website translation strategy across 7+ languages around the globe
- Support in building a tracking and reporting strategy with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Ensure digital strategy aligns with broader marketing goals, brand standards, and technical capabilities
- Collaborate with Web Leader and agency partner on frameworks for SEO integration/best practices for new website
- Create presentation materials (e.g., slides) to communicate strategy around site architecture, tagging, and internationalization
- Advise on third-party tools integration and how to structure the site for scalability and performance
- Act as a strategic thought partner-this role is not focused on content publishing or execution
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in web strategy, ideally with a focus on SEO and web architecture
- Experience working on large, enterprise website builds/overhauls that include multiple localized versions of the site
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate technical language into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong understanding of website tracking strategies and setting up reporting in Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.
- Good understanding of how to integrate third-party tools and data privacy management on a website.
- Ability to translate complex digital concepts into clear, actionable plans
- Experience building a new site with an agency partner in a traditional CMS like Drupal, OpenText, or Sitecore a big plus. This not a WordPress-based role.
- Experience in a B2B or professional services environment is a plus
