Job Description:

At Berklee, we believe in nurturing the whole student—creatively, intellectually, and personally. As a global leader in music and performing arts education, we are committed to creating a learning environment that supports both artistic growth and student well-being. The Case Manager plays a vital role in that mission by ensuring students can access the care, support, and resources they need to thrive.

Reporting to the Senior Case Manager, this position is part of Berklee’s Student Support Services team and works closely with Counseling Services, Health and Wellness, Student Success Advising, and other campus partners to help students navigate challenges—whether academic, emotional, medical, or personal.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to health and wellness early alerts, connecting students to resources and coordinating follow-up
  • Provide 1:1 non-clinical consultations and walk-in support for students navigating physical or mental health concerns, including help with off-campus care and insurance
  • Serve as a key member of the CARES team, assisting with triage and support plans for students of concern
  • Communicate and collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, and external providers to ensure a coordinated care approach
  • Help coordinate aftercare for students returning from hospitalization
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with college standards
  • Assist with additional student support duties and cross-campus initiatives as needed

Who You Are

You’re a thoughtful, compassionate professional with experience helping students manage health-related challenges in a college, healthcare, or student affairs setting. You bring excellent judgment, sensitivity, and discretion, and you’re passionate about connecting students to the right support at the right time.

You’re also:

  • A skilled communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and roles
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
  • Able to balance urgency with empathy and structure
  • Comfortable working with young adults and navigating evolving needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, education, health sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience in college, university, or healthcare environments preferred
  • Familiarity with health insurance, community referrals, and campus-based support systems
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with care and confidentiality

Why Berklee?

At Berklee, we support not just our students but our staff as well. This is a role where your impact is immediate and meaningful—and where your well-being matters too.

We offer:

  • A creative, mission-driven work environment
  • Flexible hybrid schedule and generous paid time off
  • Tuition benefits for employees and dependents
  • Access to world-class performances and campus events
  • Opportunities to grow alongside a vibrant, inclusive team

If you believe in the power of compassion, collaboration, and creativity—and you want to help students stay well and stay enrolled—this is the job for you. Apply today!
