The Manager of Real Estate will work with the Managing Director of Real Estate to oversee all aspects of the firm’s real estate, including managing existing leases as well as supporting site selection and lease negotiation in new markets. S/he will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, such as real estate brokers, architects, landlords etc. S/he will provide support for various real estate projects and construction projects, including office moves.
What You Will Do:
Assist in preparing market studies/research and presentations of site options
Provide support for all aspects of real estate leases including lease negotiations/re-negotiations, maintenance and disposal
Provide overall support for real estate projects through planning, zoning, design and construction phases
Collaborate on all real estate transaction activities, including obtaining internal approvals and coordinating with legal counsel and other consultants.
Determine projected financial impact of real estate options, including P&L impact and capital expenditures
Manage the real estate budget, including forecasting expenses and tracking variances
Implement sustainable practices and energy efficient initiatives to reduce operational costs and environment impacts.
Provide support to evaluate office space needs based on firm growth and expansion
Consolidate and maintain information on Occupier for all global properties
Interact as needed with landlords, property managers and service providers
Perform additional tasks as needed
What You Will Do:
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience working in commercial real estate, property management, or lease administration
Experience overseeing office maintenance, vendor contracts, and space renovations
Ability to think strategically, balancing long term and short term objectives
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external constituents
Strong project management skills and ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects in various stages
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including exceptional ability to prepare and present deal presentations to senior management
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering results within budget and timeline
Problem solver who proactively identifies issues and recommends resourceful solutions
