We are looking for an Assistant Grounds Manager to join our team! As the Assistant Grounds Manager, you will support the Exterior Operations Manager to ensure a smooth functioning of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
· Grounds Management: Perform all tasks required of Grounds Attendants while taking on additional responsibilities.
· Operational Support: Assist the operations manager with daily departmental activities and coordination with other departments to provide necessary support. This role is essential for maintaining high operational standards while fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
· Safety Protocols: Develop and implement safe work guidelines, ensuring employees are equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
· Staff Communication: Identify requirements for staff duties and communicate these effectively to the operations manager.
· Project Scheduling: Schedule projects and oversee that assignments are completed as planned.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the Facilities Management team to address operational issues and other relevant activities.
· Trend Monitoring: Observe operational trends and communicate findings to management when necessary.
· Onboarding Assistance: Support the operations manager in onboarding new employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
· Operational Evaluation: Evaluate current operational goals and propose improvements in critical areas.
· Facility Maintenance: Maintain and organize the company’s facilities to ensure a clean and efficient work environment.
· Team Education: Educate the operations team on company policies and service standards to promote excellent service delivery.
· End-of-Day Oversight: Collaborate with the operations manager to ensure all tasks are completed, and work areas are tidy by day’s end.
· Emergency Coordination: Coordinate an “on-call” schedule with the operations manager for major weather events and other special operational needs.
Pay Range: $25-$27 per hour

Qualifications
· High school diploma or the equivalent required
· Previous experience in grounds
· Experience in operations leadership with prior proven successes.
· Strong leadership abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to analyze operational performance metrics and suggest improvements.
· Proficiency in scheduling, project management, and team coordination.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols.
