We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Systems Engineer to join our growing IT operations team. This role will primarily focus on configuration management and database administration, ensuring stability, security, and efficiency of our systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate will also contribute to server and cloud operations, disaster recovery, and backup management. In addition, this role will serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues that require advanced troubleshooting and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

Primary Focus Areas

• Design, implement, and maintain configuration management systems and processes.
• Administer and optimize databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Serve as an escalation point for technical issues related to their expertise.
• Develop and maintain documentation for configuration and database environments.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support server infrastructure and cloud operations.
• Assist with storage and cluster management tasks.
• Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning and backup operations

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–3 years of experience in a technical IT role (e.g., systems administration, support, or engineering).
• Solid understanding of configuration management tools and practices.
• Experience with database platforms such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as ServiceNow, AWS, and Azure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Fortinet appliances.
• Exposure to Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow for ITSM/ITOM processes.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS storage solutions and networking

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $110,383-145,055. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
