Vertex is seeking an Analytics & Insights Manager to join the Supply Chain Operations, Resilience, and Efficiency (SCORE) team. This role will partner with supply chain stakeholders across all disease areas to understand reporting needs, define meaningful metrics, and deliver scalable reports and dashboards that support effective decision-making and improve business performance.

The individual will work cross-functionally with Finance, ExM, Quality, DTE (Data & Tech), BAR, and other business partners to align on KPIs, reporting definitions, data sources, and analytics priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead supply chain reporting and analytics initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the standardization of reporting practices, metric governance, and analytics approaches across the organization.
  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve data quality, governance, or integration issues that may impact reporting accuracy, consistency, or reliability.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance supply chain reports, dashboards, and analytics that provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports, including support for areas such as inventory accuracy, E&O, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluate the relevance, effectiveness, and business criticality of existing reporting and recommend enhancements to content, tools, delivery methods, and processes.
  • Partner with supply chain stakeholders across all disease areas to identify reporting needs, gather business requirements and develop reporting solutions that meet user needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Finance, ExM, Quality, DTE, and BAR, to align on KPIs, metric definitions, data sources, and reporting priorities.
  • Collaborate with team members responsible for master data management, data governance, and external integrations to ensure reporting requirements are reflected in upstream data structures, standards, and processes.
  • Partner with BAR to design and implement scalable dashboard and reporting solutions that meet evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with DTE to ensure system capabilities, configuration, and data integrity support supply chain reporting needs
  • Support a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, partnership, and flexibility in support of broader team objectives.

TECHNICAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • Demonstrates strong aptitude for influencing without authority and for motivating others and building team unity.
  • Demonstrates ability to take ownership, own responsibilities, and see projects through to successful completion
  • Exhibits robust supply chain planning knowledge. Experience in areas of Supply Planning, Inventory Management, MPS/MRP, Demand Planning and S&OP.
  • Experience planning with CMO and collaborating on short term and long-term build plans
  • Significant experience using Rapid Response or similar MRP system and OPM or similar inventory tracking system for supply chain planning.
  • Possesses a distinguished record of delivering on critical goals and moving projects forward.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of effectiveness.
  • Ability to implement a “continuous improvement” mindset/culture for improving our processes and ways of working.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written/oral) laterally and vertically.
  • Displays strong commitment to the company’s core values.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business discipline, preferably supply chain or industrial operations engineering
  • 5+ years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience in supply chain or a relevant field

Pay Range:

$128,100 - $192,100

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
