SUMMARY
Under general supervision, will interface with the breast health team and assist with the coordination of all aspects of diagnostic imaging, breast procedures, clinical evaluation, and education for patients' receiving services at the Company and/or the Company's affiliates. Handles the complex coordination involved in scheduling patients for breast procedures and diagnostic imaging for all the Company's patients. Ensures that all necessary documents and preparatory activities have been completed and that the pertinent information and films are sent to the proper department/facility. Provides on-going documentation and information to the clinicians. Delivers excellent customer service to patients. Serves as an internal resource as needed. Supports mammography team with scheduling of screening mammograms, work queues and incoming and outgoing calls.EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required. Associate's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient facility required.
SKILLS
In depth knowledge of mammography and breast care is required. Strong interpersonal skills needed with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical professionals. Ability to show high level of sensitivity to patient needs and concerns. Has sound judgment with the ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Has leadership potential.
