We are seeking a Business & Data Analyst to support technology operations and develop and maintain business solutions across the Auxiliary Services portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in data instrumentation, management, statistical modeling, and report writing, with proven experience turning data into actionable insights. The ability to use data visualization, specifically with Power BI, to make inferences about and recommendations for the businesses is essential. Position Responsibilities:
- Fully utilize Power BI as a data processing and visualization tool.
- Develop and create various data mining techniques to cull data from various sources.
- Manage, enter, and merge data in preparation for analyses.
- Propose data analysis solutions to support Auxiliary Services units.
- Interpret data for trends and patterns for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
- Develop documentation to explain the data analysis process.
- Validate data to ensure accuracy.
- Transfer data among various formats for data sharing and reporting.
- Prepare tables, graphs, charts, and other graphical representations for reports and presentations.
- Perform industry outreach and research on benchmarking, best practices, and key performance indicators.
- Effectively communicate the results of data analysis to colleagues and Senior Leadership.
- Support the Director and Assistant Director in month-end close finance and accounting functions, and other ad hoc projects and requests as needed. We are not able to provide sponsorship for this position.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, math, business, or another technical-related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Accounting experience is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex formulas and functions; experience with DAX language is a plus.
- Proven experience with data warehousing and data science.
- Demonstrated experience with Python, C#, .Net, R, or JavaScript.
- Background in writing TSQL, views, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Strong oral, presentation, and writing skills.
- A sense of curiosity and critical thinking.
