Boston, MA

Job Description

Our consumer electronic client is seeking a detail-oriented Content Production Specialist to own the production and delivery of legal booklets and product user guides, while also supporting the creation and maintenance of Quick Start Guides (QSGs). This role requires a unique blend of project management skills, creative production ability, and content sensibility.

You'll be the primary owner of workflows that touch compliance, legal, design, and content teams, ensuring critical documentation is accurate, on time, and aligned with standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives on cross-functional coordination, and has hands-on production skills in Adobe InDesign, Sanity.io, JIRA, and Confluence.

This is a hybrid role with 1 day per week required in one of their offices (Seattle, Santa Barbara, Boston)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end production of legal booklets, ensuring updates and translations are delivered on time.
  • Handle InDesign edits (layouts, formatting, versioning) and final packaging of files.
  • Act as project manager across compliance, legal, and localization stakeholders to coordinate content collection and reviews.
  • Maintain organized, accessible files to eliminate single points of failure.
  • Proactively drive process improvements (e.g., streamlined approvals, reduced rework).

Product User Guides (Primary Ownership)

  • Update and publish user guides in Sanity.io.
  • Translate UX/content design inputs into accurate updates.
  • Produce or refresh screenshots, diagrams, and instructional visuals.
  • Partner with content designers to ensure consistency of tone, clarity, and product messaging.
  • Support additional content formats (e.g., help sheets) as needed.

Quick Start Guides (Support)

  • Collaborate with design and packaging teams on QSG updates.
  • Provide InDesign production support and file prep when needed.
  • Assist with translations, formatting, and maintaining consistency across QSGs.
  • Ensure alignment between QSG content and product user guides.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Support

  • Track deadlines, dependencies, and risks across deliverables.
  • Proactively communicate progress and blockers to stakeholders.
  • Partner with design, content, compliance, and marketing to align outputs.
  • Support broader content and documentation initiatives as team needs evolve.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign (production-level editing and packaging).
  • Experience with Sanity.io or similar CMS platforms.
  • Demonstrated project management skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under shifting timelines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic content editing/writing experience (clarity, tone alignment).

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with legal/compliance-heavy workflows.
  • Experience working with localization/translation vendors.
  • Background in content design, UX writing, or technical documentation.
  • Interest in improving processes and creating scalable workflows.

Who You Are

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable owning deliverables from start to finish.
  • Capable of balancing production tasks with cross-team coordination.
  • Energized by keeping complex workflows moving smoothly.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, able to bridge different disciplines (legal, design, content, packaging).

About Aquent Talent

Since the world of work is best when it’s unequivocally human, we put people at the center of everything we do. It starts with matching the right talent to the right opportunities and building relationships that help careers and companies thrive. That’s why we’re the global leader in talent and recruiting for marketing, creative, and design. We’re in the business of big wins for everyone.

What we're about.

Flexibility
Business priorities can change in a flash. So we believe in the power of a flexible workforce—the extended workforce, temporary talent, freelancers, and contractors—to help organizations be more nimble. When it comes to talent, we also believe work doesn’t have to be about the four walls of an office, a 9-to-5 schedule, or a traditional career path.

Empowering talent
Your career. Your call. We believe talent should be in the driver’s seat of their careers, equipped with the tools, skills, and autonomy to create the careers they want. At the same time, they shouldn’t have to go it alone when it comes to job searching and career decisions—they deserve a partner to coach them along the way.

Inclusivity
It’s clear. A diverse workplace delivers better outcomes for organizations and talent. Creating an inclusive environment—one that values different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives—is critical to everyone’s growth and success. So we believe in going all in. See how.

Equality
Amazing benefits—for all. We believe talent should be on the same playing field as traditional employees, especially when it comes to employee benefits. That means things like comprehensive health insurance, paid sick leave, retirement plans, and more.
