Job Summary

We are seeking a technically skilled and self-motivated IT Broadcast Systems Engineer to support backend infrastructure for internal and external production environments. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with engineering and business operations teams, and requires a strong foundation in IT systems, particularly macOS and Linux environments. While broadcast experience is not required, familiarity with media workflows and tools such as JAMF is a plus. **This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.**

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for macOS and Linux-based production environments.
  • Maintains network quality, minimize customer outages and communicate technical issues and solutions in daily shift reports and pass-down meetings.
  • Tunes and trouble-shoots various types of IP and fiber decoders/encoders.
  • Insures a clean and dust free environment in all technical areas. Maintains the integrity of the system wiring and documentation.
  • Coordinates and supports internally and externally run company broadcast events. Provides assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture and the development of technical standards for video over IP.
  • Provides basic resolution for routine network problems, coordination of support of end user problems, occasionally direct end user support for executives.
  • Contributes to projects supporting the implementation, operations and management of the real time, network-computing infrastructure.
  • Installs and repairs broadcast operations equipment as needed.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in IT systems administration or engineering, particularly with macOS and Linux.
  • Experience with backend systems in media or production environments.
  • Experience with JAMF or similar Apple device management tools preferred; ability to support and manage macOS and iOS devices in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
