JOB TITLE: Facilities Engineering Senior Specialist

DUTIES:
Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing assets supported by the Reliability Engineering program and documented in various assessments.
Drive continuous improvement of maintenance, calibration, and engineering service delivery by adopting and deploying best practices at the Vertex Manufacturing Center (VMC).
Contribute to the development of asset life cycle management from procurement, installation, operation, and decommissioning.
Collaborate with FacOps to lead the development of asset maintenance plans from Reliability Engineering assessments and field walk downs to prolong the lifespan of equipment.
Perform spare parts assessments to determine critical spares and recommended stock levels to minimize the likelihood of unplanned part-related downtime.
Work closely with CMMS data specialist team for implementation of maintenance, calibration, and spare parts improvements based on equipment trending, feedback to reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives and forums.
Perform Root Cause Analysis on equipment to prevent future failures and reduce unplanned downtime.
Conduct reliability assessments and analyses to identify potential failure modes and develop strategies for mitigation.
Develop and advance Reliability Engineering KPIs to improve equipment reliability and decision making.
Generate, manage, and maintain Reliability Engineering reports that support the identification of failure modes, assess critical spares and recommended stocking levels, identifying notable findings and bad actors and support compliance and regulatory activities as required to meet GMP guidelines.
Monitor equipment performance metrics to analyze data and predict potential failures.
Identify equipment design improvements to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize cost effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Facilities Engineering Senior Specialist-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:
Experience executing Reliability Engineering tasks including Root Cause analyses on systems and equipment, reliability assessments and understanding failure modes and spare parts assessments including critical spares and guidance on quantity, providing guidance on maintenance intervals and developing and maturing reliability engineering KPIs in line with industry standards and requirements.
Responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of equipment and systems utilizing Reliability Engineering best practices and play a key role in the growth, development, and expansion of the Reliability Engineering program.
Responsible for identifying potential risks to minimize equipment downtime and optimizing equipment efficiency through maintenance best practices, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible for the creation, revision, and implementation of preventive maintenance plans for site equipment, and lead meetings working collaboratively with stakeholders from various departments including operations, engineering, end users, or quality assurance.
Using Good Engineering Practices as well as Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices to provide technical expertise for operational readiness, continuous improvements as well as compliance and regulatory activities as required to meet GMP guidelines.
Rate of Pay: $104000.00 - $156000.00

This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
