Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator will support a collaborative and cross-functional HR team in facilitating HR processes, programs, and initiatives. Areas of focus include onboarding, recruitment, benefits administration, HR systems, employee engagement, and training. This role provides broad exposure across multiple areas of Human Resources and the opportunity to build a strong foundation in the field.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate onboarding process including new hire checklists, background checks, IT tickets, and orientation scheduling.
- Manage and maintain employee files in line with company policies.
- Update employee changes in Paylocity including promotions, terminations, department transfers, and compensation updates.
- Provide support with the recruitment process including posting open positions, scheduling interviews, updating candidate and requisition activity utilizing Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System.
- Maintain and enhance HR reports including reoccurring reports and ad hoc requests across various areas of HR.
- Schedule and organize training sessions, compile surveys, and manage recording library in Paylocity.
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement events and wellness initiatives.
- Manage employee newsletter and benefits spotlights.
- Assist with summer intern programming and maintain program calendar.
- Handle general HR inquiries, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Reconcile and track HR-related invoices and professional development reimbursements.
- Contribute to HR team with projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-2 years of experience working within an HR team; financial services industry a plus.
- Superior attention to detail, client service, and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft office including advanced excel skills.
- Prior experience with HR systems and strong technical aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt as needed.
- Must be able to effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- This is a hybrid role based in our Boston office, 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.
