Overview:
This Email / Web Developer will be covering for a couple of long term leaves, and will collaborate onsite three days per week (two from home) with a small team in the building, formatting, and testing of marketing emails using tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Adobe Campaign (ESP) and a CMS.
The position focuses on the production, development, and quality control of email marketing content. This role reports to the Director of Email Operations and collaborates closely with Campaign Developers, and the Creative, Web Content, Brand, and Product Marketing teams.
Logistics:
37.5 hours per week
4 month duration
3 days per week onsite in downtown Boston (near South Station)
Responsibilities:
Build email marketing content through production process including layout of email copy and graphics in HTML and inline CSS, and prepare email content for deployment from the Adobe Campaign platform.
Produce multiple email campaigns for various GCC brands per week, from initial asset gathering through deployment preparation.
Create and update dynamic email templates with HTML and JavaScript
Assist with tracking of weekly emails to ensure that all emails are created on time.
Work with Campaign Development to ensure that all personalized customer data fields and version requirements are appropriately integrated.
Build dynamic personalization using JavaScript to display personalized and targeted content.
Run testing workflows in Adobe Campaign to QC email content in preparation for deployment. Work with team members through a peer review process to ensure content & tracking is accurate.
Ensure that email campaigns adhere to brand standards and guidelines.
Ensure utilization of best practices and understand industry concepts such as permission-based marketing, privacy, spam regulation (CAN/SPAM) and deliverability.
Qualifications/Skills:
1-3 years of solid production background in a digital or email marketing environment
2 to 3 years of experience with HTML
Proficient in CSS
Knowledge of mobile-optimized HTML is preferred
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Dreamweaver
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency with Excel
Understanding digital marketing concepts
Knowledge of Adobe Campaign or other top-tier Email Service Platform
Understanding of JavaScript preferred
Experience designing & coding email templates preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
Prefers fast-paced environment with a desire to meet/exceed timelines
Strong creative thinking and attention to detail
Strong communication skills: written and oral
Bachelors degree required
