The Role
Our teams build and contribute to Fidelity's digital presence. As a Principal Engineer in the Search Platform team, you will help us build a search and content discovery platform that is powered by AI and supports millions of customer requests. You will be responsible for building, managing and automating cloud infrastructure that support our internal associates' and our customers' online search needs. This also involves using the latest AI/ML techniques to help improve search results. You'll have the opportunity to give ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills and learn new technologies and languages. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a team-oriented, iterative, and fast-paced environment.
The Expertise You Have
- Deep expertise in container technologies, especially Kubernetes (AWS EKS preferred) and Docker.
- Hands-on experience implementing hybrid search solutions using Solr or OpenSearch.
- Understanding of build tools and package managers (helm, maven, npm, pip, etc.).
- Well-versed in Software development and delivery lifecycle for large scale systems.
- Ability to design and implement automations and solutions using languages such as Python, Groovy, Shell and NodeJS.
- Knowledge of Datadog, Splunk or other OpenTelemetry or APM tools for logging, observability and monitoring.
- Ability to trace and troubleshoot complex CI/CD scenarios, release issues and environment issues in a multi-component systems.
- Education / Certifications
- Advanced degree on computer science related field or equivalent experience.
- Cloud certifications (CKAD, AWS, etc.).
