Job Overview
We're seeking a Production Designer to join a reputable retail/apparel brand's design team just outside of Boston (4 days from home, 1 day in office per week). You'll assist in creating detailed, multi-page tech pack documents used for sample development and production. This is a short-term contract role (4-6 weeks, possibly longer, 40 hours per week) ideal for someone with a strong background in Adobe Illustrator and a working knowledge of fashion design production processes, particularly in footwear or accessories. Junior designers welcome!
Key Responsibilities
Build and expand multi-page tech packs for headwear products
Collaborate with the team to prepare files for factory production and sampling
Work with fabric swatches, Pantone chips, and other physical materials onsite
Support the production art team with traditional graphic design tasks
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
Experience creating or supporting tech packs for fashion or accessories
Background in footwear design or production preferred
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with some onsite collaboration
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of production accuracy and design standards
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
