JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager, Marketing - Voice and UC Products is responsible for leading the development and execution of promotional strategies and initiatives that drive product awareness, consideration, and revenue, for managed unified communications (such as Webex Teams, Ring Central), omnichannel contact center, and SIP trunking services. Sr. Manager, Marketing leverages a deep understanding of the product, marketplace and competitive landscape to identify and maximize the impact of key promotional and growth opportunities, starting at product launch and spanning the lifecycle. landscape to identify growth opportunities throughout the customer lifecycle. This position leads staff and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define marketing requirements across the buyer's journey, establishing a comprehensive strategy and orchestrating activity across teams to implement the plan to grow product awareness, preference, purchase, retention and growth.
- Frame the voice product marketing strategy, including target audience prioritization, positioning and messaging; contribute to marketing mix strategy development.
- Build go-to market plans to support the launch of new voice and products and features; manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan, including solution and product launch activities.
- Translate voice product features into buyer benefits and business outcomes, to be leveraged in market facing positioning and messaging.
- Utilize competitive intelligence to inform effective market positioning; incorporate competitive positioning into marketing programs, collateral and sales tools.
- Support development of the voice product roadmap by providing key customer insights to the Product Development team that pinpoint the most critical and strategic needs.
- Collaborate closely across the integrated Marketing team to inform the development of key assets such as web properties, collateral, white papers, events, advertising, and PR.
- Interface with industry analysts, Product Management, equipment manufacturers, Offer Management, Sales, Operations, and Marketing Communications.
- Engage in primary research, including market analysis and customer requirements.
- Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Technical knowledge within key areas of assigned product areas: Voice trunking, digital voice calling, or hosted VoIP solutions, UCaaS, Contact Center as a Service, Communications Platform as a service, etc.
- Embody a high-energy, high-integrity and customer-driven culture.
- Motivate and influence team members and others in the organization in a positive fashion.
- Ability to define work for staff, managing timely delivery of quality work product, coaching toward ongoing development and providing formal performance reviews.
- Prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to manage all phases of a large project, such as product launches, from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy.
- Prior experience working with all levels of an organization, different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (required).
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Telecommunications or technology marketing experience 7+
Relevant work experience 7-10

Previous high tech industry experience working with relevant technology, telecommunications experience preferred.
