Job Purpose

To collaborate closely with teams that design processes, operate and train for excellence, face customers in all levels of management and work in a team of highly-motivated team members dedicated to bringing customer support excellence.

Key Accountabilities

Under the general direction of the Manager of Maps and Records, supervise and lead a dispersed staff of Work Closeout Specialists, and manage all responsibilities and processes associated with the finalization of asset mapping in GIS. Directs, coordinates, and supervises mapping closeout cycle for Regional Control Center, and Distribution Operations. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

* Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, motivate and coach representatives and contractors engaged in closeout cycle activities for the Electric business.

* Responsible for the integrity of the GIS database. Perform GIS data quality and reliability improvements to support the achievement of the company's reliability targets and goals.

* Supervise the capture and recording of accurate Distribution Electric data in relation to our customers, assets and work activities. Ensure that Emergency/confirming work is accurately reflected on GIS based maps and communicated to downstream systems and teams.

* Drive the accurate, timely process and completion of Work Orders, and GIS Updates.

* Drive performance through the utilization of end-to-end process metrics. Drive and uphold standardization of processes and approaches across all mapping activities.

* Set expectations of continuous improvement.

* Establish and maintain communication with the various departments responsible for analysis on the distribution system.

* Maximizes the effective use of capital investments to increase customer satisfaction and shareholder value.

* Supervise a culturally diverse workforce through coaching, counseling, and team building to accomplish job tasks effectively and efficiently.

* Responsible for workplace safety to ensure safe working conditions are maintained.

* Ensure that Operations is supported during storm emergency events.

Qualifications

* A Bachelor's degree preferably in Information Technology, GIS/Geology or Engineering discipline or minimum 5 years of related experience.

* 4-6 years of leadership experience, preferably at the Supervisor or Analyst level.

* Exhibit high personal standards of commitment and integrity and demonstrate personal accountability for delivering performance excellence.

* Strong proven knowledge of electric distribution theory, construction, and operational design.

* Ability to accurately interpret maps, specification sheets, prints, schematics, diagrams, and instructional information to construct, maintain, and troubleshoot effectively.

* Demonstrated success in supervising and implementing change.

* Bottom-line oriented, budget-conscious, metric/measurement driven.

* Strong skills in negotiations, presentation, project management, team building, communication, and critical analysis.

* Possess knowledge and experience in clerical support, scheduling, operations, work coordination, and distribution design.

* Ability to assign, plan, schedule, coordinate and audit the daily activities of the Maps and Records personnel.

* Understand local labor agreements and geographical constraints.

* Display well-developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface and communicate with people at all levels across organizational boundaries.

* Demonstrate proficient computer skills in SAP, STORMS, GIS, CSS, and MS Office applications.

* Supervise and monitor support activities during emergency storm activity and emergency response as required.

* Ability to travel as required to various locations throughout New England to supervise personnel. And throughout the entire service territory for meetings and conferences.

Salary

$92k - $130k a year
